Before we built plum, we built online stores. Over 30 of them. We stayed long enough to feel what actually breaks when a business grows: the "is this still available?" at 2am that nobody answered in time, the ready-to-buy customer who went cold, and the nagging sense that we had no real idea why the people who did buy chose what they chose.
